the blueprint method — a w+n design workshop for your space
the w+n blueprint method is proprietary — a structured design process that has produced award-winning hospitality interiors for three decades. it's not a template. it's a way of thinking. and for the first time, it's available as a collaborative workshop for a non-hospitality space.
the blueprint method workshop is a 2-hour virtual design session with a w+n designer, focused on one room in your home or office. the session moves through four phases:
- the story — what narrative does this space need to tell? (30 minutes of discovery, questioning, and distillation)
- the materials — what textures, colors, and finishes carry that story? (reference images reviewed, a material language defined in real time)
- the plan — how does the space need to be arranged to support the story and the life that happens there? (a quick floor plan sketched live, with you contributing)
- the feeling — what should a person experience when they walk in? (a sensory brief written together)
after the session: a 12-page blueprint document capturing everything — the narrative statement, the material language, the preliminary floor plan, and the sensory brief. this is not a finished design. it is the strategic foundation. the document you hand to any designer, contractor, or keep for yourself as your north star.
